The Kingdom of Meridies
Origins
Meridies became a principality of the Kingdom of the Atenveldt on June 25th, A.S. XI (1976), during the reign of King Koris and Queen Leah of Atenveldt
Meridies' first coronet tournament was held on April 3rd, A.S. X (1976) in Sirenia, Florida. Francois Duvant won the Coronet, with Anne of Meridies as his consort. The Investiture was held on June 25th, A.S. XI (1976) in South Downs.
The first crown tournament in the Principality of Meridies was held on October 8th, A.S. XII (1977) Grey Niche. John the Bearkiller won the crown tournament, with Kassandra NicKraken as his consort. The coronation was held on January 14th A.S. XII (1978) in White Buck Forest, making Meridies the fifth kingdom.
Geography
The Kingdom of Meridies' borders currently encompass the entirety of Alabama; almost all of Georgia; all of Middle and East Tennessee, plus a substantial portion of West Tennessee; a bit of the panhandle of Florida; and small portions of both Kentucky and Virginia.
